Pastel and Ink Landscape March 15th 2025

Begin the fun, slightly messy, but wonderful journey into the world of pastel. This workshop will explore what dry pastels are, how they work, different papers and surfaces they can be used on. Participants will be playing with their pastels and incorporating ink as well as getting to know a variety of techniques to explore and create a landscape. The workshop gives you confidence with pastels and using them to blend ,scribble, stipple and smudge to create a simple but effective landscape.

Experimenting with pastels will take you through how to develop a composition using subtle techniques giving you full control to weave a medley of colours to create wonderful effects. You will use a number of textured surfaces to then tackle your own beach or land scape composition as a starting point for a pastel artwork.

All materials are supplied and you will take home your own pastel and ink landscape, samples of techniques and knowledge of how to develop your own ideas further in your own time.
