Studio Kids and Parent Clay Day Retreat

Uncover a love of ceramics and the pottery wheel with Art Workshops exciting kids and parent beginners pottery wheel throwing and hand building workshop on the Sunshine Coast!

In this half clay day, your child and one parent will be guided through the basic steps to creating wheel thrown and hand built pieces by an expert ceramicist. They will learn about the meditative process of wheel throwing and how to make their own unique bowl or cup and hand build a fairy castle or lighthouse! They will find an inner balance as they sink their hands into some soft clay in a fun and relaxed environment.

Whether you are looking for things to do with your child on the Sunshine Coast or a creative way for you both to spend a day up in the Art Workshops Studio, this beginner-friendly child and parent wheel throwing and hand building class could be the answer! Not only will you both leave feeling calm and relaxed, but you will have learnt new skills from a professional with beautiful memories and your own ceramic pieces to show for it!

Clay Workshop includes bisque firing and glazing of 3 pieces. To be collected 2 weeks after workshop.
