What could be more therapeutic than a whole morning to play with clay! This is a retreat for a child 7yrs and above on their own or with a parent to help them along if they are below 7yrs of age.

Relax and settle yourself into the mesmerising effects of the pottery wheel in the morning and experience the techniques of throwing 2 of your very own pieces on the wheel.

Then treat yourself to a nibble from your complimentary platter and get ready for a session of hand building with clay. Create your own castle or lighthouse whilst decorating with textures and stamps.

Art Workshops Studio is just the venue to breathe in the mountain air and open up your creative energy and tap into the calming benefits of clay.

Included in your morning workshop is clay, tools, and a bisque firing of your pieces (up to 3 pieces). Your work will be ready for collection in 3 weeks after firing in our kiln. Your wheel thrown pots will be glazed in one colour of your choice. Your castle or lighthouse will be glazed by the Studio for you. Parents can include a child under 7 yrs of age to build castle or lighthouse and experience the pottery wheel with them.
